Trevardo Williams, DeAndre Hopkins Wrap Up Texans' Mini Camp With a Bang

There’s been nothing but positive reports over the weekend coming out of the Texans’ three day rookie mini-camp.

On day one, DeAndre Hopkins and Alan Bonner impressed on just about every route run, and on the final day, Trevardo Williams also stood out as a potential starter at linebacker come September. Nick Scurfield has a complete breakdown of the camp at, where he revealed Gary Kubiak thinks Williams is “a little ahead” of fellow draftee Sam Montgomery at the outside spot.

Some of the Texans’ older players also took advantage of the opportunity to practice well before training camps get underway. Third string quarterback Case Keenum participated in some throwing drills, and looked solid as a backup.

Amongst all of the positives, the only downfall was Montgomery’s small back strain and Brennan Williams’ knee strain. Both aren’t serious though, so no need to worry.
