The Texans began this offseason with a difficult task: Keep the band together. They managed to keep Arian Foster after signing him to a five-year extension and Chris Meyers, unfortunately they lost Mario Williams to Buffalo, Mike Briesel to Oakland and Eric Winston to Kansas City. The Texans had even more players set to hit free agency this off-season in Matt Schaub, Duane Brown, Tim Jamison, Connor Barwin, and Glover Quinn Jr. The front office has done what is necessary and shelled out money to players who have earned it after signing Duane Brown to a massive extension during the preseason. The Texans also signed Matt Schaub to a four-year $62.5 million contract extension along with extending Tim Jamison on an undisclosed contract. The most important asset left unsigned past this year is Connor Barwin and management is still in negotiations to lock him up long term.
