Manning: 1 – Luck: 0

The Colts had to move on from the Peyton Manning era. No on can question that. Their run of dominance in the AFC South finally was going to be questioned by the Texans, they had aging veterans, Peyton’s future was uncertain at best, but most importantly the most NFL-ready quarterback since Peyton was transitioning to the pros. That being said the Colts entered the Andrew Luck era shakily with an abysmal loss to the Bears. The Broncos, however, transitioned from a quarterback who couldn’t pass to potentially the best passer of all time with a win against the Steelers. Manning also passed for his 400th career touchdown on Sunday night making many Colts fans miss the days in the not too distant past when number 18 was throwing touchdowns in Indy. Denver may make some noise this year but Colts fans should rest assured that Andrew Luck will bring them more good days than Peyton will bring the Broncos.
