Dead time in the NFL calendar. Which means it is a great time to purchase the Football Outsiders Almanac. [You can purchase of the PDF version now and the book form very soon. I've read the PDF, but I like having the book copy]
Gary Kubiak’s got continuity with his staff, so we’ve only got two guys to choose from. Quarterbacks coach Karl Dorrell is the easy selection. He replaced Gregg Knapp, who went to Oakland to be the offensive coordinator. Quarterbacks Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates loved working with Knapp.
Everyone knows that it takes a while for Jeremy Lin to find a place to stay when he hits a new city. But since Lin has no relatives in Houston, someone else had to step up. Lin already has an offer for housing: Houston Texans linebacker Conner Barwin tweeted this photo, with the text:
The Texans had the top running back tandem in the NFL in 2011. Arian Foster and Ben Tateboth finished in the top-20 in rushing – Foster fifth with 1,224 yards, Tate 19th with 942. No other team in the league even had two 800-yard rushers.
