It’s that time of year, football is missed terribly by fans and they yearn for the closest thing to NFL action on their television screens. The offseason football fix for the fans of the Sunday Warriors, is the EA Sports’ award winning Madden franchise, released during August of every year. Each year, the ratings of teams varies from year to year, and after last year’s extremely successful season, a fan would come to expect that the Texans would have given a high rating, let alone a higher rating than last year’s rating of 80.

Madden 13 was on full display at E3 in Los Angeles with lots of exciting news coming out each day.  Today the guys over at Operation Sports put together an image with all 32 teams’ overall ratings in this year’s game.

The Texans lost Mario Williams and Demeco Ryans. Two huge blows. They have no number 2 reciever, half of their offensive line is gone. 78 is very reasonable. The Cowboys should be higher because they actually added multiple pro bowl talents. Yeah the Eagels didn’t do much last year. But i expect them to rebound this season and i also expect the Texans to take a step back even with a healthy Schaub. You can’t lose two leaders on the defensive end who are some of the best lb’s in the game and replace them with an average Bradie James and a below average Alan Ball and expect to take a step forward.
