As Toro Times predicted, the Houston Texans selected Whitney Mercilus

To begin, I’ll toot our own horn. Either we possess unrivaled knowledge and feeling for the draft tendencies of the Houston Texans or, more likely, we are pretty darn good guessers! The Texans have selected a talented pass rushing linebacker who should be an excellent fit in Wade Phillips’ 3-4 defense. He has a relentless motor, is well-coached and has the ultimate NFL body at his position. True, the Texans need help on offense, but let’s face it, this team is evolving into a Steelers-Ravens hybrid (perhaps a poorer man’s version), so you can never have enough talent on defense. Having said that, I’ll be concerned if the Texans don’t address the wide receiver or offensive line positions in the second and third rounds.

This pick gets my thumbs up. What are your thoughts?
