Greg Knapp is still cleaning out his office and already the Houston Texans have found a possible replacement for the QB Coach position.
Karl Dorrell, who worked with Head Coach Gary Kubiak in Denver from 2000-02, has spent his last four seasons with the Miami Dolphins. As the Dolphins QB Coach he would be very well suited for the position voided by Knapp.
Knapp was originally a candidate to become the Texans’ offensive coordinator back when Kyle Shanahan was promoted from QB Coach. Shanahan was replacing Mike Sherman.
After leaving Coach Kubiak and the Broncos back in 2002 Dorrell was the head coach at UCLA. When he was fired in 2007 he was picked up by Miami.
Dorrell could make a decision by the end of this week.
