Houston Texans Fans Need to Cheer for the Denver “Tebows”

First off let me say how proud I am of my fellow Houston Texans fans. Not only did a group of fans make the long drive/flight to Baltimore to make some noise for tomorrow’s game but, to everyone’s surprise, a large group also gathered at the hotel in which the Texans will be staying. Texans players entered the hotel to posters, cheering, and an overall jubilant crowd of their fans. Nick Scurfield, of HoustonTexans.com, said that he had never seen anything like this before. That, Nick, is because there are no fans like Houston Texans fans!

On to the topic of the night – Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos.

All season long Tebow has reached into his magical bag of miracle comebacks. He has led game winning drives, game tying drives, and has baffled NFL commentators galore.  Most importantly though is the fact that he has taken the Broncos to the playoffs for the first time in six years. Tonight Tebow and the Broncos will be facing Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

If there has ever been a time in which Texans fans should cheer for Tebow it is now.

In the AFC the remaining two games are the Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens and the Broncos vs. the Patriots. The winners of the these two games will face each other in the AFC Championship game. So why should we cheer for Tebow, you ask? Simple, if Tim Tebow and company can upset the Patriots then the winner of tomorrow’s AFC game will have an easier road to the AFC crown.

For Texans fans this is a game in which we need to cheer for Tebow. Assuming, if you will, that the Texans defeat the Ravens tomorrow then they would face the winner of tonight’s game. If the Broncos win tonight’s game it would give the Texans a game in which they would not only be the favorite but it would also give them the home-field advantage. That would be HUGE!

Imagine the Texans defeating the Ravens and then facing the Broncos at home. This scenario, in my opinion, is a road paved with gold to the Super Bowl for the Texans.

So, Texans fans, as much as it may pain you, cheer for Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos tonight. While you are at it…take a knee “Tebow” and say a prayer too…it could not hurt!
