Could Texans Use Ochocinco or Haynesworth if Cut by the Patriots?

The National Football Post has posted the following concerning Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco in regards to the length of each ones New England Patriots career.

This morning in the NFP Sunday Blitz article the following:

*Chad Ochocinco and Albert Haynesworth might not be long for New England. One day before this story came out by my guy Mike Reiss, one NFL executive familiar with the Patriots ways told me he believes one or both of the big name acquisitions will be cut before the season starts. The front office man thinks coach Bill Belichick will use the controversial players to help control and send a message to his locker room.

If this were to happen it wouldn’t seem likely that the Houston Texans would attempt to sign either player. Wade Phillips defense is a 3-4 base system and we all know Haynesworth take on playing in a 3-4. Besides Wade Phillips style of defense doesn’t neccessarily require a big space eater type at the nose tackle position.

As far as an Ochocinco signing goes. The Texans should feel comfortable with the veteran leadership that currently resides on the team. The Texans also so an influx of young talent that are all via for 2 to 3 spots on the team?

We know Bill Belichick is portrayed as a tough no nonsense type of coach but Belichick and Ochocinco are actually friends off the field. So for him to stoop this low against a friend just to set a president does not seem very friendly or likely at all for that matter.

Especially with both players recently restructurig contracts in order to make the risk for the Patriots almost nil.
