Texans Looking Good at Training Camp

Jeff Maehl scoring a touchdown pass at the Texans training camp held on August 9th

I got a glimpse of the team at the Texans training camp. The offense was looking great as usual and although the defense seemed to be lacking slightly, there were definite signs of improvement.

One thing that caught me by surprise were some of our second team receivers, particularly Dorin Dickerson and Jeff Maehl. I believe these two players have huge potential and may be able to contribute to the Texans already powerful offense.

Preliminary depth charts show Dorin Dickerson starting against the Jets this coming Monday against the Jets, is this a sign that they may be moving Dickerson up to the second wide receiver spot? Not likely, but it may be that the coaches are looking at him as a possibility and may be using this preseason as an opportunity to develop his skills to possibly become the number two receiver for sometime in the (near?) future.
