Texans Bullpen Bulletin: Vonta Leach a Houston Texan-Ex

UPDATE: Per Toro Times staff writer Rick Brokaw, agent Drew Rosenhaus is in talks with the Texans about former Browns FB Lawrence Vickers. He could be a viable replacement for Leach without the pricetag.

Add fullback Vonta Leach to the list of Texans-Exes. Leach has agreed to a Three-year $11 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens.

Fullback Leach had a mean streak to him that fit the Ravens overall team demeanor and will be sorely missed as lead blocker for NFL rushing champion Arian Foster.

Potential replacements for the Fullback position are Texans tight end James Casey who has added weight this offseason in preparation for the possibilty of Leach not returning. With Vonta out, eyes will also be on Zac Pauga recently signed undrafted free agent from Colorado State. Pauga, 6-1, 246lbs, had 33 rec in ’10.

Is there a Vet on the way? Rumors have linked Le’Ron McClain and Lawrence Vickers as possible veteran free agent replacements.
