NFL News on the Trade Front: Albert Haynesworth to New England Patriots

Can Bill Belichick work his magic once again in rejuvenating a veteran who has been labeled as an undisciplined malcontent? In a surprise that no one seen coming this morning or maybe even this year. Albert Haynesworth previously of the Washington Redskins has just been traded to the New England Patriots.

Albert Haynesworth who  originally signed in Washington for $100M only to arrive in the nation’s capitol and tell the team that he did not want to play in a 3-4 defense and here teh Patriots come in and trade for Haynesworth to play in New England’s 3-4 scheme in theory although the Patriots scheme plenty of 4-3 sets but not the  B gap-penetrating style that Haynesworth claims he prefers.

Washignton receives a 5th round pick from New England in 2013 for the services of Haynesworth, possibly without the headaches but very unlikely. We shall see if “the Hoodie” can get Haynesworth to put the cell down and study the playbook instead of the newspaper during team meetings.
