Drew Brees, “We’re Very Close To a Settlement”

Just as the Houston Texans and New Orelans Saints annual practice has been canceled as a casualty of the NFL lockout and despite all the ups and downs, the “we’re real close, oh wait no we’re not”, comments coming out of the labor negotiations….Finally out comes some positive news we should be able to take to heart.

We are finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In one most concrete signs to come out in quite some time, Drew Brees recently told a San Diego radio show that, “We’re very close to a settlement,” Brees said on XX Sports Radio in San Diego. “We’re at that point in the negotiations where there’s just a few more details that need to be ironed out.”

By Drew Brees, who is one of ten plaintiffs represented by the Brady antitrust lawsuit and a member of the NFLPA* Executive, coming out and actually speaking under non-anonymity in regards to an agreement being within reaching distance speaks volumes.

Finally a source speaking volumes with out saying much at all.
