UPDATE: As an update to an article we posted a couple months back regarding Shiloh Keo having the skills to start at safety for the Texans.
Since then Keo has moved to Houston and began to attempt to become acclimated to the heat here in Texas by working out with future Texans teammates.
Shiloh Keo technically isn’t a Texan yet because Keo hasn’t signed a contract with the Texans. But in order to gain the respect of his teammates and in order to pick up the terminology of Wade Phillips defense Keo is at player led mini camps without a contract and at risk of injury that could essentially cost Keo a contract if in fact Keo was injured and if the injury was serious enough.
Other rookies have been present at some of the player led mini camps But a few at risk of injury and suggestion of their agents have returned home in order to deter injury which we can’t at all blame them.
This is just an a testament to Keo’s determination to be able to come in once the lockout is lifted and immediately be able to compete.
We here at Toro Times wish him luck and like the drive and passion for the game that Keo is displaying.
If the Houston Texans do not sign a safety in free agency then expect Keo to compete for time at safety and at the bare minimum find himself contributing on special teams.
Check out the link to the short video after the teams latest player led work out.
