After the Game – Chiefs at Texans

Final Score –

Chiefs 31

Texans 35

It wasn’t pretty early on, but it sure did end well. After coming out on a slow start, the Texans were the Texans and decided to procrastinate destroying the other team until the 4th quarter.

There were still problems on defense, giving up more than 200 yards passing and rushing. The 200 passing yards may not be much, but when the Chiefs did throw the ball, they were rather effective when they decided to.

Perhaps the worst thing to come out of this game was the loss of Demeco Ryans for the season when he tore his Achilles’ tendon late in the first half. Demeco Ryans had jumped near the goal line to attempt to deflect a pass but missed and came down awkwardly on his entire left leg. Zac Diles will be the replacement for Ryans at MLB for the remainder of the season.

Wins can come at a cost, but at least the Texans head into the bye week with some momentum. Andre Johnson’s touchdown catch with about 30 seconds left to win the game is a symbol that the Texans are bound to win games they probably shouldn’t. They now have time to recover and regroup before facing off against the Colts in Indianapolis November 1st on Monday Night Football.
