[Update] Texans Place Two on Injured Reserve, Sign One Other

UPDATE – John McClain of the Houston Chronicle is reporting Tate actually suffered two injuries Saturday night. McClain mentions that Tate is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair torn ligaments in his ankle and a fractured fibula. He will miss the entire season.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak has announced today that the team put running back Ben Tate on injured reserved, after suffering a severe lower leg injury during Saturday’s preseason game against the Cardinals. Tate is expected undergo surgery sometime this week.

The team also put defensive end Tim Bulman on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. To take Bulman’s spot on the roster, they signed 4th year defensive end James Wyche.
