If indeed the last time McNabb played in an overtime game was in 2002, that is a span of 6 years. I'd call that fairly obscure. So, to hold him to such a tough standard seem overly critical. Come on how dumb can McNabb be, he's in the freaking NFL for crying out loud. He should of known that rule even before he entered the league. If not they need to start teaching rookies by passing out the book called "Yes games can end in a tie in the regular season". You know it's the football for dummies with McNabb's photo and endorsement on the cover. And for anyone to stand up and defend him, just places them in the same corner as McNabb "The Stupid Zone" as it shall now be called. It is mind-boggling to me that he did not know this rule. He has a job that involves him winning football games. He goes into work to do that. His profession is football and he doesn't know a rare but important component of his job: the game can end in a tie. This is not an obscure rule and it has happened while he was playing (2002). What's even more ridiculous is guys like Big Ben defending it like McNabb didn't know the answer to some complex matematical problem. The said golf rule is far more obscure that the tie rule and I'm willing to bet Tiger knows the answer. Sarah Palin might even know NFL games can end in a tie. Absolutely false.
