Texans Tackling to be Tested in Browns game

Steve Slaton is key to a Texans victory over the Cleveland Browns Sunday.  As poor as the Texans tackled in last week’s game against the Colts, the Brown’s tackling may have been worse against the Bills.

Slaton is coming off his best running game as a Texan.  He ran all over the Indianapolis Colts in last weeks loss.  One of his runs went for 71 yards which is the current Texans record.

Sunday’s game is going to be won or lost for the Texans on the defensive side of the ball.  The Texans have been sluggish in the second half of their last two games.  If this trend continues, chalk up another loss for the Houston team.

The good news for Texans’ fans is that the Browns tackled poorly in their Monday night match up with the Buffalo Bills.  The Browns pulled out a win thanks only to 4 Bills turnovers.

While the Texans are a minus 13 in turnover margin, the Browns are plus 8.  I’d like to see Mario Williams recover a fumble after he sacks Brady Quinn.  Williams taking the fumble the other way for six would be icing on the cake.   The Texans have to take care of the football if they are going to win the game.

The Texans get well this weekend.  I see a 27-24 win for the Texans due to better tackling and a better turnover margin.
