I'm not much of a sport's fan, though I have been getting a huge kick out of Texas Tech this season. I do enjoy reading about the Oilers, sorry, I mean the Texans. I think I'm hearing some wishful thinking by some die-hard fans. Way to stick with your team!

Anyway, did any of you commenters notice your names all end with "ton"?

The Texans need to learn how to win. It is really that simple. Being competitive is great and all but it doesn't lead to playing football in January. The playoffs needed to be the measuring stick for this team this season. They are no longer in the infancy stages of being a franchise. Yes, they are a young franchise but they have been around long enough where it is time to take that next step. And it is obvious that they have their own version of T Mac in Schaub. Good player with flashes of greatness when they are playing....but neither can seem to make it through a season. (See T Mac last night for further evidence)

As far as the Aggies go they have received their last dime from me. There was not one other school that was going to hire Mike Sherman and the Aggies hired him after their "national" 2 day search. Why? Because he is a part of the Good Ole Boy RC network. They could have made a Jackie type statement hire and they went with a retread. What we are seeing as a result is exactly what anyone with half a brain knew would happen. I had the luxury of attending A&M when the Aggies lost 0 games at Kyle Field. Class of 1994. Man what a lifetime ago that seems to be now. I plan on eating my Thanksgiving Turkey early on Thursday because I have a feeling I'll be sick to my stomach after the debacle in Austin takes place later that day. All I can say is thank God the season is about over and go Turgeon!
